The Regional and National Awards

Nominations now open - closing date  31 July 2019

Swim England East Region are once again working in partnership with Swim England for the Regional and National Awards. The regional winners will be announced at the forthcoming Annual Council Meeting (being held on Saturday 14th September). All the regional winners will then be shortlisted and invited to attend the national celebration in Birmingham in November.

The Regional and National Awards officially launch on Monday 3rd June and will be available to receive nominations, via the Swim England website, from that date. This is a great opportunity to recognise the huge amount of work that takes place within Clubs and the County organisation.

The criteria for each award is still being finalised, but I can confirm that they must be a Swim England member to be nominated.

The categories for the awards are as follows;
  • Young Volunteer of the Year
  • Volunteer of the Year
  • Technical Official of the Year
  • Club of the Year
  • Coach of the Year
  • Services to Aquatics
  • Youth Achievement Award
  • Adult Achievement Award
  • Personal Achievement Award

In addition to the categories above, we also have the Jeff Cook Salver Award, which has been presented for the last 14 years, to a person, team or club that has made a significant contribution to the sport within the region. The Regional Silver Pins will also be available for nominations at the same time. These are presented to individuals that have helped develop the region in some way.

Nominations can be made via the Swim England East Region website.

Chris Vinter, County Secretary.
